Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.

It’s easier to let a small thing go, and to add a small thing, than a large one. That is how some kinds of change happens. For the better, for the worse, if a person continues to let go of and add a small thing the effect will become evident over time. Not an instant recognition of the effect, but a gradual awareness, as dawn to one sleeping. Small things and time….

And slowly we unfold into our true selves
much slower than a flower…very very slowly.

Never underestimate the small things.
think small
“Small things and time…” – that lifts my spirit Nance. Thank you for this.
The lifting of spirit is no small thing…God has done this. Thank you for passing it along.
That’s a good image, the dawn coming gradually to one sleeping.
I’ve had a tendency to forget this and get discouraged that things aren’t so different today than they were yesterday or a month ago. It’s better to look back at what God has done over a longer period. That’s much more encouraging.
You’re right, it is best to see what God has done. It is a struggle to maintain freedom in Him, mainly in the letting-go. Opposite to the usual thinking, it’s no wonder that we must bend.
