Old & New

it’s the end of the year…

IMG_5087

and
a lot of people are looking back.
an intention of reflection.

i have been thinking.

instead of

the resolutions
made from looking back
at what i think
that i need to do better,

a plain renewal
of commitment to faith in the Lord.

more of a giving and laying-it-all-down time.

not looking back
not making plans
not thinking of what i want
not a list of what i should do

just

bowing down in a prayer of renewal

and
Love

Thank you for sharing. I don't do resolutions anymore either, but I choose a word each year that focuses my spirit on the ways I feel that I want to grow. 2010 was about wisdom. 2011 is about faith. Happy New Year!

I've told you before how much I enjoy your blogging and facebook appearances. And I still have been unable to determine whether you're a poet, an artist, photographer, or ? You excel at fresh, original thought and I always have appreciated your contributions. I also want to thank you for the comments you've made and the encouragement you've offered while I bumbled along trying to say something meaningful and then find a way to get it online. Best to you in all your new days and new years. donkimrey
