This is exactly how I felt at Mass this morning. I went with a heavy heart but there was Christ, truly present, there was light flooding in through large windows, there was the quite of the faithful in prayer before and the resounding voice of the same in the prayers; the Penitential rite; the responsorial psalms; the Creed; the Great Amen and the singing of hymns, grand hymns not little ditties. To open my arms, my mouth to Jesus is to necessarily let go of sorrow and to surrender.
Something to take along to a silent retreat
perhaps i could use a retreat.
Surrender is one of my favorite words.
Perfect combination of words and image!
So deeply felt with you Nance.
falling into the scarlet … and all is well
And of course, I meant *quiet* above not _quite_
