i agree…hand sewn quilts are a lost art.
though i still like some of the ones that people put together with their sewing machines.
it was the quilting bee that is the sad thing to go…but, now there are quilt classes…just not the same.

ah, i have one of those on my bed, but it’s a patch quilt, not as ornate, but just as purty in its simplicity
i prefer the simplicity of a patch quilt.
