I've been reading about the manna God gave to the Israelites. Sometimes I don't trust the 'one bite' and worry about tomorrow just as the Israelites did.
You can more, and more deeply, in the fewest words than just about anyone I know.
Very succinct. Beautiful in its simplicity.
The sermon at our church was titled Daily Bread, one of the series about the Lord's Prayer. Pastor mentioned the bible passage with Manna. Beautiful poem.
And the birds in motion, kind of appearing out of nowhere – leading to the thought of he feeds me. It all fits, but through a back door of subconscious spiritual stream. I think this is what gets me with this poem.
This is so simple yet so profoundly rich. He feeds me with His presence. One bite at a time. Yes, that's about all we can handle, and he must know it. Right?
